Kiss singer Gene Simmons, 61, finally got around to proposing to his longtime girlfriend Playboy playmate Shannon Tweed, 54 The couple have two children Nicholas (born January 22, 1989) and Sophie (born July 7, 1992).
The two have been living together for more than 25 years and Gene always said he was not the marrying kind finally asked Shannon to get married.
The two were in Belize when Gene got on his knee and said: “I come with so much baggage, but you’re the only friend I’ve got. You’re the only one I love…and you’re the only one I ever will love. I’ve never said those words to anybody. And I don’t ever want to…funny, I used to watch movies where they say I can’t live without you, but for me it’s true.”
Shannon cried and now word yet on whether she accepted. Catch the season finale of their reality show Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels! and you will see the whole thing go down.
Is this true love? Is this just a publicity stunt to get more viewers to the season final of their show? Or is this Gene just trying to make Shannon happy after all the rumors that have been circulating that they are breaking up?
