Michelle Obama Covers More Indonesia April 2012

The First Lady Michelle Obama graces the cover of the April 2012 issue of More Indonesia. Michelle recently cause some controversy by appearing on NBC’s The Biggest Loser. It was makeover week on the show and the contestants got to display their new looks to the first lady.

Since the First lady has a commitment to reduce obesity in the USA and the show is about weight loss it seems makes sense and gave NBC a huge ratings boost. However, most Americans will never have the chance to lose weight the way the people who are on The Biggest Loser do. They are in an isolated situation, with professional chefs and trainers and attain huge weight loses.

The Hunger Games Woody Harrelson Wanted To Be A Minister

Woody Harrelson who once enrolled in a Presbyterian college in Indiana when he was younger, but as he grew older he began to question the logic of the bible and eventually turned his bag on the career path.

He said: “I was thinking about becoming a minister right up through college. I gave sermons when I was in high school and had Bible study in my house.

“Well I think what happened was that one of my theology teachers taught us how the Bible was constructed and that the Bible was not this man-mad thing. He was a great theology teacher, a real staple of the college, but it started to unravel my perception of the Bible. I was like, ‘Hey, there were a lot of changes made!’ ”

Now a successful Hollywood star in films including ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ and ‘Kingpin’, he admits he has few regrets other than the fact he would like to have starred in more children’s films.

He added to Culture magazine: “I would have loved to have been in kids’ films. I wish I had been offered a part in ‘The Lion King’ or any of those great movies. But I wasn’t. I would certainly have done so had I been asked.”

Susan Sarandon had Trouble Conceiving

Susan Sarandon, 65, says he had a lot of trouble conceiving until she visited Rome’s Spanish Steps. That is too funny I have visited the Spanish Steps and there was nothing much special about them except many people selling things. Susan has a 26-year-old daughter, Eva, with former partner Franco Amurri – admitted after being diagnosed with severe endometriosis, a common cause of infertility, she struggled to fall pregnant until she visited the 300-year-old steps in the summer of 1984.

She said: “If anyone out there’s having trouble getting pregnant, go to Italy. Have a summer and don’t worry about it and eat and drink and … f**k, and you’ll probably get pregnant. And that’s what happened with Eva on the Spanish Steps.

“That’s where Eva was conceived, on the Spanish steps?”

Speaking about her diagnosis with endometriosis as a young woman, Susan explained it was a “devastating” experience to learn she might not become a mother naturally.

During a ‘Lucid Conversations’ talk with Alan Cumming in New York, which sees the actor host a monthly chat with his celebrity pals, she said: “I had been put in the hospital and they said I had very severe endometriosis, which is a condition that a lot of women have.

“It’s one of these not diagnosed conditions that can be quite, quite devastating.”

Simon Cowell Vain And Desperate For Attention

Simon Cowell is so competitive that he has reportedly had special lights fitted under his desk to make him glow. Strip lighting is said to have been installed at the 52-year-old music mogul’s end of the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ table in an effort to help him outshine the other judges.

A source said: “It’s hilarious. The lights are only on his part of the desk – it’s an obvious attempt to get one up on the other judges. No matter where he turns there is more light on him than the others – which makes him look better on camera.”

Simon – who has returned to the panel after taking a year out to launch the US ‘X Factor’ – also has his own personal make-up girl in the form of 21-year-old ex-model Julia, who perfects his face before every audition.

The source told The Sun: “Simon has the most gorgeous make-up artist who works only on him. Julia darts out in between every act and works her magic on his touch-ups. The other judges don’t get this kind of attention and it’s all part of making sure Simon is the undisputed star of the show.”

Meanwhile fellow judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon are reportedly less than impressed by his flirting with stand-in judge Carmen Electra.

An onlooker from this week’s London auditions said: “It’s become increasingly obvious why Simon booked Carmen. As Tuesday’s auditions wore on, they were inseparable. It was embarrassing the way they were all over each other. They were play-hitting each other like awkward teenagers.”

The bond between Simon – who is on a break from fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy – and Carmen, Amanda Holden’s temporary replacement, is said to have already caused a split in the panel when it comes to the acts.

A source said: “If Alesha and David liked it, Carmen and Simon didn’t and vice versa.”

Al Pacino’s Girlfriend Wants His Baby

Al Pacino‘s girlfriend, Lucila Polak, is thinking about having a baby with him. Argentinian Lucila already has a daughter, 14-year-old Camila, from her first marriage, but admits she gets broody and would consider having more children with the 71-year-old actor.

When asked if she fantasises of having a baby, the 32-year-old model replied: “Sometimes I do, yes. I have moments when I think, ‘Wouldn’t it be great to have another kid?’ Because I’m at a stage where I’m sure I would enjoy motherhood lots. Argentine women are very maternal, which is probably why men fall in love with us. But on the other hand, I think, ‘Starting again, not sleeping much, nappies, losing the freedom I have… .’”

Lucila is not sure if it is practical for her and Al – who has three children, Julie Marie, 22, and 12-year-old twins Anton James and Olivia Rose from previous relationships – to marry, but is happy with the relationship they have.

She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “I don’t know [if we'd marry]. At the moment we’ve got a great relationship which works perfectly. We’re very happy, we share lots, but he has three kids, and I’ve got Camila. We support each other a lot, we’re very involved with each other’s lives, but we’re fine as we are.”

Lucila also said the age gap between them doesn’t cause any problems, as Al is so young at heart – and he has so much money!

She added: “He has a much younger emotional age and his daily routine is more similar to that of a man of 40 than an 80 year old. Also he’s incredibly sexy, no one can deny me that, can they?”

Vanessa Hudgens is “really surprised” at how trendy Michael Caine is. The singer-and-actress was shocked to hear the 78-year-old star singing a Katy Perry song on the set of her latest movie ‘Journey 2:The Mysterious Island’ – which stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Josh Hutcherson – and she was surprised to hear him advising her on the latest technology trends.

Vanessa told You mag: “When they told me about the cast and about the fact that we’d be filming in Hawaii, it was basically a no-brainer. Michael Caine was awesome. I was really impressed that he knew what was hip and trendy. He was singing Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ one day and then telling me about an iPad feature I had to get the next.”

“The whole thing was just a great experience – I’d wake up to the sound of the ocean, play on the beach a little and then mosey on down to work. Who wouldn’t say yes to that?”

The 23-year-old beauty – who previously starred alongside her then-boyfriend Zac Efron in ‘High School Musical’ – has started embracing her “inner child” and “having fun” with her acting roles rather than try to fit in with an older mindset.

She added: “I was always extremely passionate about acting, and when you love something that much, you want to do it all the time. But I’ve noticed a change in me over the years. When I was younger, I played the adult more because I was acting with adults and wanted to fit in. Now I’m embracing my inner child and having fun.”

Ben Gazzara Dies at 81

Ben Gazzara who played Brick in the original “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” on Broadway died on Friday afternoon in Manhattan. He was 81. He died of pancreatic cancer at Bellevue Hospital Center.

Very much in demand for supporting parts, Gazzara appeared in thirty-eight films—many for TV—in the 1990s. He worked with a number of renowned directors, such as the Coen brothers (The Big Lebowski), Spike Lee (Summer of Sam), David Mamet (The Spanish Prisoner), Walter Hugo Khouri (Forever), Todd Solondz (Happiness), John Turturro (Illuminata), and John McTiernan (The Thomas Crown Affair).

In his eighties, Gazzara continues to be active. In 2003, he was in the ensemble cast of the experimental film Dogville, directed by Lars von Trier of Denmark and starring Nicole Kidman, as well as the television film Hysterical Blindness (he received his first Emmy Award for his role). Several other projects have recently been completed or are currently in production. In 2005, he played Agostino Casaroli in the TV miniseries Pope John Paul II.

Gazzara was married three times; to Louise Erickson (1951–1957), Janice Rule (1961–1979), and German model Elke Krivat since 1982. He also disclosed a love affair with actress Audrey Hepburn. They co-starred in two of her final films, “Bloodline” (1979) and “They All Laughed” (1981)

Al Pacino Signed Up For ‘Stand Up Guys’

Al Pacino, 71, has joined the cast of the action comedy – which was previously titled ‘Old Timers’ – along with Alan Arkin and Christopher Walken.

The movie follows two ageing criminals the night before one of them has to kill his friend. They decide to have one last night of debauchery, with their evening spent visiting a brothel, chasing cars and evading a police chase, while also taking the time to reflect on their lives.

Noah Haidie has written the script, with Fisher Stevens directing the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in Los Angeles in April.

Al – who was last seen in ‘Jack and Jill’ - will next appear in ‘Wilde Salome’ and ‘The Son Of No One’, while Alan has recently completed work on Ben Affleck’s thriller ‘Argo’ and Christopher is currently awaiting the release of ‘Dark Horse’.

Alan has previously appeared in movies with both of his ‘Stand up Guys’ co-stars.

He and Al were in ‘Gigli’, though did not share any scenes while he appeared opposite Christopher in 2001′s ‘America’s Sweethearts’.

George Clooney Really Wants to Attend This Year's London Olympics

George Clooney is delighted the world’s biggest sports event is coming to the British capital as he loves visiting, but has not yet been able to get hold of any tickets to watch any of the games.

He told The Sun newspaper: “I think it’s fantastic that the Olympics are coming to London. I think you should always try to take politics out of sport and the London bid did that. Track and field is something that I really want to come back and see if I can get some tickets. I’m a big fan of London. There are only a handful of great cities in the world and it’s one of them.”

George isn’t the only star keen to get his hands on some tickets for the Olympics.

Former Spice Girls singer Mel C admitted she wants to get the band back together to perform at the opening ceremony – because she thinks it would help her chances of being allowed to watch some of the sporting events.

She said: “We’ve never actually been approached about the Olympics and it’s just rumours at the moment unfortunately but I’d jump at it if we were asked. I’m very excited about the Olympics being here in London. And it’d get me in wouldn’t it because I’ve got no tickets.”

Rapper Tinchy Stryder teamed up with Dionne Bromfield to record a track to be used as the official Olympic Torch Relay song and admitted he hoped the duet, ‘Spinning’ for 2012′ would be, would be his entrance into the games.

He said: “I didn’t get any tickets in the end, like loads of other people. I tried but had no luck. I’m hoping that this song will get us a few though.”
